  Justice Zainab Jawara Alami

  Justice Zainab Jawara Alami is a member of the Bar of both England and Wales and The Gambia. She has over 22 years of considerable experience and expertise in vast areas of the law particularly in Commercial and Taxation law. She currently holds the position of a High Court Judge serving in the Judiciary of The Gambia since June 2017. She worked at the Ministry of Justice from 2001 to 2006 in various capacities as State Counsel, Principal State Counsel, and Curator of Intestate Estates from 2001 to 2006 and served as the Head of the Legal Department at the Gambia Revenue Authority from 2007 to 2017. Justice Jawara Alami holds an LLM in International Law from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a post-graduate Diploma from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Justice Jawara Alami is the first president of the Marina International Alumni Association and is a founding member of the Association. She has a passion for Justice, Public Service, and integrity and is an avid promoter of Alternative Dispute Resolution In The Gambia and worldwide.

  Samuel J. Sarre

  Samuel J. Sarre is a well-trained and trusted economist having studied at the University of Middlesex and University of Bradford. Samuel has a decade worth of experience in the industry. He is the Economic and Commercial Specialist at the United States Embassy in Banjul. Samuel joined Embassy Banjul in July 2017 and his portfolio includes bilateral trade and investment promotion and political and economic analysis. He previously served as the Protocol Assistant. Prior to joining the United States Embassy, he worked at Emanic Consulting Ltd, he worked as Consultant, specializing in development, financial and economic consulting. Samuel briefly worked for the Government of the Gambia, working at the Economic and Research Department at the Central Bank of The Gambia. When Samuel is not busy collecting data and drafting reports, he spends his time, playing football, basketball, and running. Samuel is happily married and has a young son.
